During afternoons and weekends, volunteers can decide to use their free time as they prefer. Getting to the city center is really easy with Arusha transportation such as Bajaj, Boda Boda, and Taxi.
"This is probably one of the most interesting and fulfilling volunteer experiences I've had. I absolutely loved my time in Arusha and can't wait to travel back. I met the most welcoming people and created memories that will last a life time! I was traveling solo and Weza and his lovely family made me feel right at home. Would definitely recommend this program to independent travellers who love to get involved!"
"I spent three months volunteering with Weza. It was three of the best months of my life and I am forever grateful for my time spent there. Weza has created such a great environment for the kids to learn. Everyone is so welcoming and they make you feel at home, while also sharing their culture with you. It really is such a culturally immersive experience, Weza always includes the volunteers and makes sure that they get the most out of their time in Tanzania Asante sana!"
"The most amazing host, an incredible family that made me feel so welcome. I had the time of my life in Arusha and aided at the pre school and with the football academy. The work they do here is incredible and the help they have given to their community is brilliant. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to do volunteering, to do it with Weza and his family. Asante sana kaka, I wish to be back one day!!"
